So I've been doing some thinking and come to the conclusion that I want a Trailblazer SS. Seeing how I'm driving 500 miles a week or so I need something that's reliable which a stock one should have no problem with, has power no shortage there, its got plenty of room and im use to crappy gas mileage so that's not a big issue. Only thing is there would be no option but to sell the Camaro :(. Don't know what I should do, suggestions, experiences, any input is welcome trying to figure out what path to take and how to go about it.

I would recommend upgrading from the camaro to a TBSS.

I was in the same boat as you about 2 years ago. I was only looking at the AWD ones though. However, I wanted decent gas mileage too, so I ended up also looking at v6 Cadillac CTS cars(i previously had a caddy and loved it). Once I compared those prices with the V models, It only made sense to get a gen1 CTS-V. Power similar to that of a TBSS and style/luxury as well. (I later got the Cruze as a lease to be the fuel efficient option)

Two of my friends have TBSS. I love them. One I put full Stainless Works exhaust on, sounded mean.

Not many problems with either one. I just replaced a front hub and a blower motor resisitor on one. It has about 75K miles and is a DD.

I could give you a ton of reasons not to want any type of car. My question pertains to him.

^^ That is an awesome deal.

I just got one 3 months ago and love it. Very nice upgrade from my 2000 camaro for driving everyday, and unexpected at how quick it moves for a truck both speed and handling.

TBSS mods are more expensive than 4th gens and the aftermarket isnt as big. I get 14 mpg with mixed driving, and 16 tops highway. Those are the only downsides. If you dont have a lot into your camaro I would say go for the TBSS!

Why do you want a TBSS?

I need to drive to PA for school then back on the weekend (about 80 miles each way) then while im up there i drive around a bit too. Like i said the gas mileage isn't that big of a deal to me however I feel like the TBSS would be more comfortable and has way more room AWD so easier in the snow. All together just a lot better then the Camaro for what I need to do. Just sucks cause I <3 my Camaro and I would have no choice but to sell it then figure out where to get a bunch more money for the TBSS.

Is there a particular reason not to want one. I think for the money it's a lot of truck.

I just don't see why you can't just park the Camaro and buy something, oh I don't know, more practical?
If you think your TB SS is going to get through the snow with those low-profile Goodyear piles of ****, you are sadly mistaken. You might be lucky to get through light to medium rain with them.
Look, do what you want, but if I had a massive life change where I now have to travel long distances, through various climate changes, and you want to pick a 400hp SUV with 20 inch wheels?

I figured i could get enough performance out of the TBSS to keep me happy and it would be a good amount better in the rain and snow situations and WORLDS better at the people and stuff carrying. I know it wouldn't be the most practical thing to do and i also didnt expect it to be. And i would also have no problem buying a beater wrangler or something but i have absolutely no room left as is for another vehicle it looks like im trying to run a car lot out of a 1 car garage and 2 car driveway right now >_<

ive had both and can say with 100% accuracy the jeep is better in every way other then the hitch for class 3 just because it needs to be modded to fit slightly.

and for "chrysler" comments. i have 113k on my jeep srt8 and the only issue ive had was the rad fan need to be replaced just last week. so other then oil i have $180 into repairs over those miles.

Tune it, stack it, and be happy not owning a jeep product.

Only downside is, there is no chance of becoming a mod without owning a jeep.
