Anyone around 08075 have a spare PCIe 16x Video card? Would only need it to test and will return.

Don't use my computer very often. Went in yesterday to use it and it turned on but would not display anything on the screen. I've had this issue before, took it apart got frustrated and let it sit for a few days. Put it back together worked fine.

General Specs

Asus Striker Extreme MotherBoard
Intel Q6400 quad core (running at 2.6 ghz)
4 gig Kingston HyperX 1333
4 Segate Barracuda HD's running in Raid 0
MSI 8600GT-HD OC edition

I've unplugged everything from the board took the battery out and went through the cmos reset steps and nothing changed. The striker Extreme also has a LCD display on the board which is supposed to display faults detected and it does not display anything (lights up, no faults displayed)

Also, does anyone know how to recover files from a Raid setup? I usually back up pictures and stuff but I'm not sure when I last did.

Any beep codes?

Raid 0 is striped. Is your controller still good?

Beeps once when it first turns on. I removed all the memory and don't get any beep codes. I've read a few things about bios chips for this board going bad. Would suck but I built it about 6-7 years ago. Really can't complain with all the use I got out of it.

Raid controller is on-board. Would a bad controller cause it not to display on the monitor?

I would definetly try a new video card first.

Regarding the RAID controller, I ask because I've had issues with stuff that's not mirrored being inaccessible without locating the same proprietary controller. That's a very remote possibility though.

May borrow my brothers video card, if I can talk him into it.

I don't really have any important stuff I would lose just pictures. I did have the raid controller in 0+1 at some point but I think I had it setup in 0 this time.

Thanks for your help, I'll keep it updated if I figure anything out.

That says to me the board is toast

I have a old video card somewhere, if you want ill find it tomorrow and see if its PCIe 16. If it is, ill send it to you free, Its doing me no good. I pulled it out of a working computer when I upgraded to a new desktop but I then bought an HDMI card instead.

If you could find it that would be great. I can reimburse you for postage if you have a paypal account. Thanks
