RPO code question

I went on that site compnine a while back and checked my VIN. I noticed that my car has a RPO code NB8-Emission Override that only 117 other Firebirds/Trans ams had in 1994. I dont know what it means and was curious if anybody else has this code or knows what it is.

It appears it means it meets the more strict emissions requirements for places like NY or cali.

Emission override california system also requires FE9 (Federal Emissions not California) "Must beordered for units shipped to dealers in CA, CT, DC, DE, MA, MD, NH, NJ, NY, PA, RI, VA, VT with Federal Emissions"
