A pair of cross drilled brake lines will be a fine addition

you too? i have a similar muffler bearing on mine. i do so love it

Yup, I'm still putting mine together. Its acutally a 76mm not a 72 like I thought. 76mm compressor wheel, 68mm turbine wheel) , dual ceramic ball bearings, t3-twin scroll, .84ar's, 4in inlet and outlet. Had 2 dyno pulls on it the guys Honda couldn't spool it until 6k. Going to swap the exhaust housing for a standard t4. I didn't like the no name turbo that came with the sts kit

i went with a precision 76mm but i'm keeping my divided flange and goin with a spool valve.. are you sure its a twin scroll and not just a divided flange?

Same thing? Are you running a rear mount too? I couldn't pass this one up so low.miles and its was almost half price. You really think your going to need the spool valve

EODMonkey
02-20-2012, 08:03 PM
not really from my understanding. twin scroll has two paths to the turbine wheel for the exhaust gas to flow one for low velocity one for high. divided flange is just a flange with a bar in the middle to smooth turbulent air (exhaust pulses). right now i build boost between 2500 and 3000 and 14lbs at about 3800. i'd like to see what it'll do to how fast i can build boost

What kind of horsepower are u making? What short block are you running? I planned on 10psi Max on my stock lq4 shortblock

havent dyno'd it yet but i'm still breaking the tires free in 2nd gear with 295 kdw2's and a full car load. its an ls1 with a scat forged 383 rotating assembly

I would love to check ur car out sometime, my exhaust system worrys me tho long tubes with 3in y.

EODMonkey
02-20-2012, 08:47 PM
yea, its too big. 2.5in max or you're gonna take forever to spool and make no power. where are you from?

B4C
02-20-2012, 08:49 PM
I was planning.on having it all ceramic coated and heat wraped, I'm in Williamstown.

i'm in freehold. i'll take some pics n vids n send them to you

Hows the ground clearance with the 76mm rear mount?

EODMonkey
02-21-2012, 11:18 AM
about 4 inches.. just enough for a fist

I'll take your silly rear mount turbonetics and raise you a front mount precision.

Well thats the fun part!

I was thinking.of doing a front mount and putting it where the battery is, but I would like to keep my AC. Still might do a front mount tho

LTb1ow
02-21-2012, 06:56 PM
Mine can keep AC if you want.

02-21-2012, 07:32 PM
Are you using a kit?

LTb1ow

Yes

Whats the A/Rs?

EODMonkey
02-21-2012, 08:08 PM
i wouldnt spend the money on the ceramic coating, you're just not flowing enough air fast enough through 3 inch pipe.

EODMonkey
02-21-2012, 08:08 PM
.81 a/r

LTb1ow

Exhaust side?

.96 A/R here, you were saying?

EODMonkey
02-21-2012, 08:17 PM
that i'll spool sooner  how much boost are you gonna run?

LTb1ow
02-21-2012, 08:19 PM
lulz a rear mount spooling within a day? Imposibru!

Prob maxing out this poor lil turbo, ~22psi area

I'll call your (1) precision front mount, then raise you two of them...lol

p.s. front mount is the way to go!!!

yup... and cnc'd race covers. blow the picture up. and look in the compressor outlet.
They made 1042hp on a 390ci. I wonder what they gonna do w/ 30 more cubes...:bertstare:

Actually from what im reading on tech, I think Ill be fine with ceramic coat and heat wrap on the 3in, jsut gotta switch the headers for manifolds. :bertstare:

I honestly, would keep the headers & reduce down to a 2.75 or 2.5 pipe.
You would get the best exhaust scaveging w/headers while increasing exhaust velocity using a 2.5" pipe.
ceramic coat & heat wrap will help tho...

and believe me scavenging becomes an issue..
