Anyone know what muffler they use in this exhaust?

It will be a knockoff of a brand name muffler. Post a part number.

Most likely a knock off of a dynomax super turbo style muffler...

It sounds different because nobody runs this brand of muffler, or at least nobody I've ever seen with a 4th gen.

Call jegs and ask, novel concept.

They will not tell you. Neither will Summit.

It is a Heartthrob muffler. Summit's fully weldeds are Flowtech knockoffs and their pipes are IMCO (parent company of Cherry Bomb).

I was listening to the jegs and I think it sounds too tin can like. I tried to find a summit catback but no luck. Do they really make one for our cars?

why are you chaning up your set up if you just got the car tuned ?When people said it would be loud I understood, loud wasn't the correct term.. anything over 1500 rpms is a ticket magnet. I think I'm just gonna order a hooker catback.

but you waited till after it was tuned realize it was to much? thats just costin you money not that what your were just tuned for is being changed.

Who cares? A different catback is negligible. If he does at catback with a cutout, it'll be the same thing more or less.

Throw a different muffler on the LM1.

LT, ORY, LM1 is very loud in an offensive way, too. Bad combo.

All the work was done with the head gaskets. NO big deal the car is getting retuned anyway. I was thinking of adding a 3 inch spiral flow and removing the lm but its gonna be loud until I put a real muffler on it.

I ran LT, Catted Y and the LM1. It was loud, but not obnoxious.

WF, have you thought of just switching out to a Catted Y set up ?

Yes I have. My cousin wants this exhaust and I'm not losing any money so I'd rather just get a new catback. If I get in trouble when It comes time for inspection ill throw a catted y on. The only way I can describe the sound is imagine an outbourd motor and a car with a borla reving at the same time.
