I have a new HD tranny cooler that i will be installing within the next week or 2. So i was wondering b4 i go start this, i am going to be using the existing tranny lines. i know they wont reach. i am goin to be extending them, but only if the exsisting line have the inverted flair on them. Can anyone verify this?? If so then i wont have any probs. if not, no big deal ill just cut a flair them my self.

also if im not mistaken, i believe the lower line going into the rad is the inlet side and the upper line is the return. please correct me if im wrong. thanks

Ill have to double check, but i think I ran the bottom hose into my cooler first, then from the cooler to the bottom line of the radiator. I not even sure if thats right ... lol

I wanted it to run through the radiator after the cooler to keep it warm before entering the trans in the winter.

Yes, I think that is correct.

Kits I've installed came with rubber hose and clamps

What we've done is mount the cooler in front of the rad, cut the lower metal line, the line from the trans goes to the top of the cooler, the bottom/outlet of the cooler then routes to the metal line going into rad.

ok good. the cooler that i got has the inverted flair ends on them, so im just gonna connect some new hard lines to the exsisting ones, but im goin to leave the lower hard line connected to the rad, rout the upper line into the lower port on the cooler and run the upper back into the return on the tranny. so i hope all goes well when i put in this weekend. also doin a fluid and filter change.

thanks for the responses
