I'm trying to finish reinstalling the interior on this 71 Olds Delta 88 that's been in the shop forever. I was putting the glass back into it today and I'm missing 2 pieces for the passenger front window.

First is a glass mounting nut and stud....typical for most old GM cars but this one has a stud long enough to protrude about 1/4 inch past the mounting nut because it passes through the window regulator and gets secured to it.

The second I don't even know what to call....it's like a plastic half sphere on the front of the window that keeps tension on the glass as the window goes up and down. Anyone know what this piece would be called or where I can find one?

Window have a hole in it? plastic piece snap around the edge of window & runs in the front track of window?
maybe you can use this part from a s10 (window guide)

I may have some spares of those. Sounds like the same parts used on 69 Camaros. Let me check my parts pile.

Found the bolt with the long threads, will keep looking for the other one, should be a black or blue plastic headed bolt, right?

Kevin...can you measure the length of that stud for me? The stopper for the Camaro has a blue head on it but not sure it's the same size as what I need. If you find it maybe we can compare to what I have on the other window.

Yes, I will measure and post pics. The one I found has a metal head that is put through from the outside of the window, then the flat nut. So that the extra threads can get the metal track the regulator arms rides on and another nut holds the track on. The others will have a black plastic head (about 1/4 high) or a blue head (about 3/8), that are meant to ride on fabric covered metal guides when the windo is rolled up. Have not found those yet. If you can get to the other window and see if the heads are metal, black or blue, that will help a lot.

Mine ride on that metal guide on the way up too. The one I have is like a transparent green...like a glass marble. I think it's the wider size though.

Kevin....my sphere looks to be about 3/8 as measured through the door so the blue one may be the ticket.
There's actually one more piece I'm missing. It's a bracket that bolts to the top of the door. Part of it has a felt pad that the inside of the window rides against and then there's a piece coming over the top that the inside door panel hooks over. Happen to have one of those too?

Hmm, those are a little tougher, I do not think they are reproed. You have to pull them from old doors (and the screws too!). But I can check. Those may be unique to the door application. Camaro hook from the bottom and are screwed to the dor under the fuzzy

Hey Kevin....I just spoke with GM Sport Salvage and they have all the parts out of the same car. I bought the floor pans out of it earlier in the year and they still have the car there so he is shipping me the pieces. Thanks so much for the help though....I'm just worried they won't be the same size for the full size cars.

Hardcore,

If you any post pics please. I think I still have some bolts, clips and such around.
