I'm really thankful for all the positive words, thoughts, and prayers that have been passed along for my wife and me, so I wanted to give a quick update that is a bit positive. Saturday morning I decided I was going to do my best to make this weekend a "winner." So, the first thing I did when I got up was get out a few CDs that pump me up in a good way, starting with Triumph's "Allied Forces," and my #1 pump up song of all time, "Fight The Good Fight." Well, I played that song until I believed in it again! I hit the gym, and pretty much picked up where I left off. I also had a body/fat index done, since my last one was in Dec. I'm 4 points leaner, and weighed in 14 pounds lighter. I know I'm doing it right, because I have no strength issues, and have been eating good, just uber clean. I haven't had alcohol, soda, or any crap food since April 1. That set my mood right, and I did a lot of stuff around the house that I've been slacking off on. Saturday night I watched "Smackdown," and wrestling always helps put me in a good frame of mind. So today [Sunday] I got up and hit the gym again. Did a monster leg work out, and came home tired, was walking funny, but felt great! Now I can sleep in a bit Monday morning before I go to work, and hopefully I'll keep rolling and hit the gym on Tuesday. It really feels good to take care of what I can control, like treating my body with respect. :)
