Are you adverse to running methanol injection? I still think you won't have trouble hitting your goal with pump gas and the right combo (especially on the LS platform). LTb1ow is nearly at 700rwhp on a dynojet with a turbo LT1, pump gas with no meth at around 15-16lbs of boost.

Hey guys, need your opinion on this project cause I'm about to go ahead and start the motor. If I have not mentioned already I want a street / strip car. Looking to be in the high 9's. So should I do a 408 stroker kit to this lq 6.0 block I have and run a procharger with that, or do a lsx with a prochargher?

All depends on your budget and what TTP is comfortable working with.
I believe Rob (barneymobile) runs 9s with a LQ9 block punched out with nitrous.

Anyone running wilwood brakes? I want to get the 140-9833 front kit and the 140-9830 rear brake kit. Wilwood says that both kits use factory spindles and back plates. Is anyone familiar with these brake kits?

I still have the fronts to get. Got the weld S71b 15x4.5 on order. I decided to go with the hoosier 27x11.5x15 quick time pros for the rear and Hoosier 26x4.5x15 front runners. I spoke with madman on ls1tech, got front and rear coilovers and travel limiters coming from him, to help keep the noise not pointing to the sky.

So more than likely my wavetrac will be up for sale. It was never used, car has gone from being a street/strip car to all out strip. I placed another order with quick performance yesterday for 40 spline axles, 35 spline pinion gear and 9 and 1/2 ring gear with drag spool. Oh well, if anyone is interested let me know it's going to be the posi unit only with 28 spline pinion and the 35 spline axle shafts. 4:11 gear ratio.

So inside the rear bumper cover there is a bracket of sorts. One on the dr side, one on the pass. side. This "bracket" has three bolts two slip lower section of the quarter panel and the other bolts into the wheelwell just behind the rear tire. What is that " bracket" called?
bigz28man
02-08-2018, 11:36 AM
Here is photo of someone's bumper cover those "brackets" are black. Where can I get them?
They are called retainers. Dealer should still have them. I believe they are riveted onto the bumper cover. You could find a used set off an old bumper if someone is willing to remove them. I may have a few but time is crazy and getting over to my garage is tough. If you are unable to locate them anywhere, get back to me.

I do still need to order my coil-overs, just waiting on getting a final curb weight. Going to try to get this car right around 2800 lbs.
Who has a strictly track 4th gen and what are you weighing in at? I know there many variables but the car is 3300 lbs stock. 500 lbs shaved off seems reachable considering I've removed all seats , stock suspension, stock metal bumpers, gutted dashboard, stock brakes, removed misc junk from engine bay
