I don't know how to go about this, but the guy my dad bought his car off of has an extra engine free for the car. Only issue is actually being able to pick it up. It's a 390 thunderbird engine sitting on the floor in his garage. I lack a hoist and a pickup truck.. If anyone is willing to help out for a reasonable price, it would be awsome!I'll pay for gas and tolls to get up there and back obviously. Engine is in prospect park pa

I dunno. I honestly don't know really whats involved in picking it up off the floor. Shout me out what you'd want to go get it =D I don't wanna low-ball an offer. I was thinking like $150 for your time, plus gas and toll to go get it

is it sitting on the floor or do we have to remove it from a car?

You can probably make handles out of pipe and lift it that way.

I'm assuming a 64 thunderbird 390 is over 1000lbs. i can't lift it..

FYI, engine is ~560lbs fully dressed.

If he is not running it as-is you can tear it down a bit and load parts.

Or you can rent an engine hoist for the day from a local rental place.

if it's that light, i might be able to roll it onto a skate board or something. If i can rent a uhaul..i might be able to roll it up a ramp

Yes! something like that. My dad doesn't think trying to roll it up into a truck is such a good idea..but when you lift 645lb ppl at work...and engine doesn't seem all that intimidating anymore.. XD
