05 Sierra with an alli, not in GM warrenty to not too concerned with running a TES295 fluid. But I also don't want to throw junk dex VI in, transynd is about $200 for 5 gallons, so any other suggestions would be great.
AFAIK, amsoil is not approved by allison but meets the standards, just not sure how much a 5gal will set me back.

We have been using the Amsoil Torq-Drive in all of our customers' Allison transmissions.. The feed back has been nothing but good..
(We have also experimented with using it in manual transmissions that require ATF with positive results as well)
It is $225 for 5 gallons..

Do you have the 2.5 gal jugs? Local diesel shop quoted me $84 plus tax for it.

The price was for (2) 2.5 gal jugs.
If someone is it for $84each 2.5 gal jug I would buy everything he has. That is way cheaper than I pay for it even before shipping. Which is weird because our pricing should be on par or better than most other dealers' due to the volume we sell.

Do you run a fluid change and filter twice? I think I read somewhere that transynd changes are recommended to do that.

We only usually do that where the its the original stuff in there and its been way overdue.. Or when they have been running something other than the allison or amsoil stuff..
Otherwise just once is all that is necessary because the torque drive is designed to mix with the transynd without problems..

Used truck and I have no idea what the dealer or previous owner did, so I figured I would try my best to flush whatevers in there out and start with transynd/amsoil.
Thanks!
