I need a transmission for a 1994 LT1 fbody... I just want to purchase a stock, used trans and swap it in. I will not put the money into a rebuild of the current one.

Apparently.... '94 wants to be the redheaded step-child of 4L60e's.
93 is a 4L60 in F-bods and 95 has PWM controlled TCC. 94 is its own thing.

Can I use a 2wd 4l60e from a 93-94 gmc or chevy truck? What other cars had 4l60e in 1994? B body cars? With any of those, I should just need to change the tail shaft housing(for TQ arm) right? How hard is it to swap tail shaft housings?

Any way to easily convert a 94 LT1 to work with a 95-97 4l60e?

Also, I just read that a '95 4L60E will work in a 94. That is because the 95 has an extra wire for the TCC PWM solenoid but when installed in a 94, the 94 ECM doesnt look for this solenoid nor cares that it is there and it activates the trans like normal. IS THAT TRUE? lol ... Because I think someone still has a '95 4L60E....

I would assume so, the extra solenoid is for partial lock up and if the 94 PCM can't even command that option, should be good to go.

Worst case, swap to a 95 PCM and throw the extra wire in

How much you lookin to spend? I have a great functioning 4l60e in my 94 that I kinda wanna get rid of. Looking to do a 6 speed swap. No leaks. Shifts perfect. Still in the car too so if you wanted to drivr it you could.

200-300 range depending on mileage and how long its been out of a car or if i can drive it. And maybe 400 if recent rebuild with paperwork..

I came across another '94 4L60E so hopefully this one will get the job done. Looking to do the swap in about 2 weeks.
