Its about time for me to get new tires, as 0f now i have 255 40 18 all around. The front arent that bad but the backs just look silly in that huge wheel well. Its stock height.. any idea what size would be good? And what brand?

You will prob be asked what you use the car for, is it a true daily driver, and how long you want the tires to last for.

295's + look good on the rear of a fbody. Seen plenty of people do it on a 8" wide wheel.

On an 8" wheel? Do you mean 9"?
275/40R17 approved rim width: 9.0 - 11.0; OD: 25.8
295/35R18 approved rim width: 10.0 - 12.0; OD: 26.1
Is 275/40/17 stock on that car? OD difference is close enough I think, <.5"

Might not be stock on his particular car but that is a stock 17" size for a 4th gen.

Not a real daily driver but i occasionally go on trips from the shore back to sussex so i do put some miles on them.

275/35/18's and be done with it. That should fill out the wheel well nicely. just find the brand that fits your price range. You'll find most have varried opinions on which brands to get.
