Need some help guys. The car is breaking up pretty bad. I thought I noticed a very slight hesitation around 2k rpm the other day when I was driving but I disregarded it. Today on the way to the cruise night at etown it started going it again. I took it through first and second gear at about 3/4 throttle and it was breaking up real bad throughout the rpm band. Cruising at about 2k under load it would do it too. Though, it seems to idle normal. Does anyone have any ideas. I know the first thing that everyone will spit out is the opti but I want to rule out everything else before that. I was thinking maybe a burnt up wire of a clogged fuel filter but I really dont know...

Any codes? I assume no? How is your opti vent line? Test the coil too. You know the drill.

Car has the light on for deleting egr/air/evap and not tuning out of the computer so idk if there are any new codes...

Kohler made a few good points via text. Gonna pull the plugs and make sure that they arent burnt up, check wires and other small things before I dig deeper

You check to see if the injectors were all seated fully? In my case, it was as simple as that.

Didnt check this but I havent touched the injectors since March and it ran fine till now. Whats the best way to check?

Spray something flammable around the injectors see if idle changes.

Falls under vac leaks.

Start simple? All above suggestions are really good.

Me personally? I'd go drive it with a fuel pressure gauge on.

Removed #1 cylinder plug and this is how it looked.

No bueno. Also found a slight crack in one of the boots that looks like it just started.

Gonna do plugs/wires and take it from there. Also, I set the timing from 5* pulled to 1* (lowest the box goes) and made 5 wot pulls. No break up

check your ignition control aswell as the wires and plugs.

Did you change to colder plugs before the nitrous?

Flash kind of altered the pic but it was straight black

So what caused that?

Running rich (due to driving around pulling timing). I also soaked the plugs a few weeks ago at atco (cross read the jet paper and put in the 200 fuel jet instead of 150 ) which I'm sure did not help things

Your lucky that 150 shot didn't blow the welds on your intake.
