Hey all,
Last time I was at track thought the trans went in the nova cause it wouldn't shift when hammering gears. Think it might have been the cable stripping inside
So New cable and a new shifter with the proper gate plate(wonder why the cable went) arrived today and I will head down to install it tomorrow.
Soooo with supposedly a nice cool forecast this week what better time to go to the track and test it out than Wednesday 8-)
Anyone else going? 8-)
Hope to see ya there

Great night temperature is dropping cars are running fast.
Except ours, removed the trashed shifter cable and replaced with all new and yup I think it is the converter. Car holds nice and strong in 1st gear trans brake is working proper all is ready to go but only getting half aof second and no 3rd gear under any sort of speed. Frustrating gonna pull it and take *** to a shop and have it all gone through. frickin transmissions messing up all the fun.
Should have brought the Camaro to the track instead I drove a friends Roadmaster that I have been working on.
Honk if you like wagons 8-)

I get more looks driving this than most anything else. It is a Buick specialty car for funeral homes designed for flowers. The Roadmaster had about 30,000 miles when he got it few years back. It is a 350 not the baby 8 from the caprice good power dream to drive these cars just glide.
He gave me the green light today to rework that mess of an exhaust and the chrome trim on the sides are going away. I am begging him to let me put on true duals with headers and complete under the hood but right now its a no go just a new Y pipe reusing what I can and getting rid of the 2" pipe that last mechanic spliced in ugh what are people thinking :(
still lots of work to do both rear windows need new plastic guides. I have replaced 3 others in his other wagons Not a job I enjoy always cutting my forearms.
under the hood was this

Keep an eye out for this cruising Branchburg I have another wagon of his I may be redoing the car its a mess hope to talk him into letting me paint it white good and evil wagons would be cool. I want to fix his 76 Camaro that he has his wife's 1st car tracked it down now needs and overhaul and lots of new metal.
So much to do so little time...
couple cool pics I took last time I had it for service

wagons rule, who needs SUVs? If the suspension is done up too I'll definitely take that one.
