I'll be going up to NYC and meeting up with a lady friend and want to show her an amazing time but I've only been there once and she has never been there so i'd like to know what are some of your guys favorite things to do there? I did alot of walking in Manhattan but I feel I only scratched the service.. cost isn't a big issue but not trying to break my bank
And this is a one day thing
In short, good places to park?
Great eateries?
Attractions?
Sights?
My buddy suggested going to the Museum of Sex, anyone been there?
Thanks :bertstare:

What kind of food are you looking for? If you can figure that out, I can tell you where to go and what to do in that area.

There is a ton of stuff to do. Depends if you want the high profile stuff, off the beaten path, "regular" vs ethnic food, etc etc

best place ive ever found to park is concreto garage its at 513 west 59th street. ive gone up a saturday morning parked around 10 and left at 8ish and it was only 8 bucks i believe. better than the lots that charge 45+ and its only a block or two from central park. call them and ask prices last time i was there was around feb i think. 212-246-5769

I'm hard to go by beacuse I like everything. If you want Italian, I highly recommend Felidia's on E58th. If you want seafood I recommend Dock's on 3rd between 40 and 41st. Have you ever eaten at a Brazilian Rodizio style restaurant? If not and you want some great food, try Plataforma on 49th between 8th and 9th. I used to bring clients there and everyone had a great time.

Plataforma is bad ass. If you go, drink a caipirinha. I do recall it being ~$55 a plate but they beat out Peter L's for best steak in NYC for a bit (maybe even still).
If you want to go Asian I know of a great place but the name escapes me. I can look it up if you need it. Excellent Americanized Chinese food, and that's coming from a guy who has eaten a ton of it in his time.
look up corkbuzz

She's up for anything - she wants to catch movie and lunch, then whatever after
Also to mention we're both under 21 so no alcohol fun for us

I would def check out the museum of sex. I've been with a lady friend and it was very interesting. Idk if its first date material but def cool. Just a disclaimer, you must been very open about sexuality in general. For me some parts were far out (trying to keep this as PG rated and politically correct as I can).
As for parking, have you considered the train? I wouldn't drive my car into the city and park in on the street or in a deck.
As for food I would def check out jons pizzeria. It's about a block from times square and is very reasonable.

I worked 2 blocks away and when I went with my girlfriend at the time it turned me off - not what I expected... Her too.
I know most of the good restaurants in the flatiron area - let me know if you are heading to that area (by the museum of sex).
Head in by train or bus myself, don't know where to park...

i said the same thing... i guess growing up 15 minutes from the city makes it not so special... if i have to go there i make sure its a sunday night and i take my truck or the gf's cobalt. times square is cool and also rockefeller center (more so for the holidays obviously)

im either in the city for platters 53 / 6 or bar hoping lol. take the ferry over hop on the bus, cab, subway, get off wherever you want and walk into the first bar you see. driving in the city is a terrible experience unless its late and the traffic clears
edit : sorry didnt read the thread lol. if your going with a girl go to times square or rockafeller. theres lots to do and see around that area
