2nd Annual Race Wars - Atco Track Rental

We have a tentative date set of Friday, November 30th for a track rental at Atco Raceway. Even though the weather was not too friendly last year, we got it done and had a lot of fun. I would like to get at least 10 spots filled for this but need to get a deposit to the track within the next week to keep our date. The $200 total deposit (not from each person) is non-refundable. Below is a link to all of the track rental information.

I strongly prohibit anyone from running a street tire at the rental since it ruins the track prep we are paying for. If we need spots filled and you want to run street tires, you will be pushed towards running at the end of the day. Everyone last year was on a drag oriented tire and it worked out just fine.

Final deposits will be due 2 weeks prior to the event. Last year it worked out to being $200 per car including the initial deposit. If you are interested, please PM me for deposit information and be sure to include your name (not username) and phone number.

i dont want to get too off topic but, youre correct. converters certainly have come a long way. i had a 3400 in the vette. drove like stock at part throttle and got me 1.49-1.5 60' times. Now i have a 4200 in it. Noticeably looser than the 3400 but still plenty streetable. and I've seen 1.40 60's with it :) alot of the LSX guys will go with anything from 3200-3800 normally.

I would refrain from the donuts. I was at atco for the deisel vs gas truck event and a few guys did that in the dirt. The announcer said..." To the guys doing donuts in the parking lot.....this is how you go about not having another truck event".

Spoke to Atco this morning. The shop opens up at 10AM if anyone needs anything. I also asked if the scale would be functional and they said that getting it hooked up shouldn't be a problem.

Weather is looking to be pretty cold but thankfully they said that it's not cold enough to cancel the rental.

Adam has offered to make some burgers (if someone can bring a grill) or perhaps we do subs but we need to know by Wednesday if not sooner to make that happen. We don't expect the price per person to be more than $10 a head.

Spoke to Atco this morning. The shop opens up at 10AM if anyone needs anything. I also asked if the scale would be functional and they said that getting it hooked up shouldn't be a problem.

Weather is looking to be pretty cold but thankfully they said that it's not cold enough to cancel the rental.

That could very well be. After this rain passes, there is more high pressure behind it. The baro is sitting at 30.24 right now, which is great considering it's raining. Maybe we'll luck out and get that nitrous-like DA

Don't think we can run at 7AM and you may not want to if there is any moisture on the track from the morning dew. As of right now, looks like we will get some good DA the entire day which should make this much better than last years Race Wars.

Yeah I'm hoping that high sticks around for a bit. Wonderground seems to be saying that but I think it will slowly be moving out Friday. I'm only saying this in hopes of being completely wrong :mrgreen::mrgreen:

Your car was running good that night. I snapped a few pics from the burnout box. I wanted a nice smokey burnout, but got sideways trans am instead. ;) My old 2000 ws6 did that a few times.

I was behind him on one pass, his car got like 90* sideways in the burnout box. Thought he was gonna take out Jaime lol.

Car looks really nice and definately rolls out!

I can explain.My first 2 runs of the day I had issues with my line lock. Only 1 wheel was locking up and it made the car kick sideways during the burnout. The rest of the day I didn't use my line lock at all and I was fine.
