Unfortunately the friday of Labor Day weekend I was stopped to make a left hand turn into a parking lot on a main road in my own (wide road). I was sitting there with my blinker on for about 10-15 seconds, enough time for a few cars to go around/pass me since i was way left. Out of nowhere i was rearended by a Ford Excursion going around 30+ mph easily and didnt even hit the brakes until she made impact. My car lifted off the ground and was launched 20 feet or so (eye witness and my own visual once i got out. Thank god i had my seatbelt on because I truely believe i would have hit the windshield
As ull see from the pictures where i ended up, my left tires where on the yellow line when i was sitting there to make the turn. also in the one picture you can see her tuck isnt even in the frame.
So needless to say my dream and love car is totaled. Ive decided Its time to get in a car that i can drive year round and wont need to shut down in the winter since i cant really afford to do it anymore. Im picking up a 2004 S4 tomorrow. Still a fun car with 340hp to the crank, but as all of us are it wont stay stock for long. Ill still visit the site from time to time. just figured id say thanks to the guys who have helped me with problems and advice. Happy modding and safe driving, Keep your eyes on your rear view,

Ow dude, that is a lot of mass at a good rate of speed to absorb. Glad it wasn't worse.
Can I throw a set of salad shooters on your car and take the 10 spokes? :)

Thanks to everyone for the kind words, I really am grateful I'm not really hurt. Anyway before some of you inquire about the car we already got rid of it. i wish i had come on here to ask my fellow members, but it was a friend of my fathers and he asked the day after. At that point i didnt even want to see the car anymore so i was glad it was out of my hands that fast. Sorry guys

Glad to see your ok. I understand not wanting to see it anymore. Be careful with your back man. Depending on the injury it could be something that can be recurring

sorry to see this, and i know your pain personally. this happened to me back in 2008, while i wasn't in my car i was driving my nephews truck. i came out worse then it did, don't let them force you to back to work or anything like that. take care of your body, i don't know how badly your injured just make sure to get a good lawyer that listens to YOU not like i did. good luck.

Again thanks for all the replys and wishes. My boss is my father lol so he knows that i am in, crappy thing is that its manual labor. So it is going to be harder to get back into than if i had a desk job (not knockin desk jobs, but i could never do it). Just hope i can get back to work soon, i have to start buying parts for the S4 now. Which btw i was able to get today.
Thanks again everyone
Goal is to beat a 2000 SS with this 04 S4. maybe then ill be satisfied with having to bale on going back to an fbody. I will be back in another once i can afford to own both (if that day ever happens)

oh that sucks. I have had a rough summer with mine. Trans let go in July during the Duke Island - Howell Chick-fil-a meet and then while the trans was getting replaced the car fell and did some damage so now it's in the body shop. I miss my car man it's been almost 2 1/2 months. Hopefully I will have her back this week, if I do I think im gonna go to Raceway Park for the swap meets car show

Glad you're ok. It's a good thing you DIDN'T see it coming..you lock up and it makes ur injuries worse.. That's how drunk drivers never get as injuried cause their reflexes are bad. Sorry bout the car. =(
