so after trying out many used monsoon speakers for the sail panels in my trans am, and they kept blowing (im sure the age of the speakers by now didnt help) i did some research and found this link thru ls1tech....

http://www.keeaudio.com/bazooka.html

its a 6.5in DVC Bazooka Subwoofer. i bought a pair and installed them and they work great, sound great and were cheap.

just a heads up for all u guys with birds with the monsoon system

they also sell package deals for all the speakers in a 4th gen fbody, seems like they are a small company that actually knows our cars... which helps!

After one of the sail subs went in my 01, the monsoon amp, speakers, and headunit are in the attic. I put full range 6.5's in the sail panels, removed the rear hatch speakers and put a sub box back there.

Depending on what I need they look like a future purchase

this may be a good option for me soon. my one sail panel speaker is iffy. I wish they had a bigger selection to choose from for the 3rd gen though

u can buy 3rd gen size stuff anywhere, 4x6 dash and 6x9 sail panels, very common sizes
