$1,600 for those?!?
If I was spending $1,600 on wheels I'd expect them to be made of some sort of ultra light weight space metal.

Aluminum?

Aluminum?

No man. I'm sure they have some super rare alloy that weighs next to nothing. Or maybe I'm just a stooge lol.

They look good, but not $400/each good.

Aluminum?

I would think they would advertise that fact if they were...

What wheels are $400 each, the fikses? it isn’t those cast YO wheels. They are under $1000 a set last I heard.

Fikses are probably forged aluminum with custom (ie CORRECT) offset, not china cast crap with poor offset choices.

typo, sorry.

I know intro price on those wheels was like $700. I think it's around $1000 now and includes lugs & center caps.

Fikses would look good on a garbage truck. I've never seen them on anything that did not look awesome. That is if you have the $, of course.

For reasonably priced 3rd gen stuff that doesn't need funky spacers, Paul H's CTW stuff looks very good.

because the 4th gen guys are taking all of them.

don't get me going on a YO rant.

Word, they only fit the second gen if the car is a 4X4, but they work on other cars, like the Chevelle I think

Thats what I came in here thinking that was being shown, especially since the Z28 wheel is not from a 3rd gen

FWIW I think that pic of those wheels on that yellow 3rd gen look good.

WBT they now have a 17x8 you can make work up front so you can now buy their 2nd gen wheels to actually fit a 2nd gen and not just every other GM car made. But I dont really want a 17x8/17x9 setup.

I ran the fm10's on my vette back in the day...great rim, excellent quality and forged. Ronals look great but are period correct. Got to go w/a staggered setup regardless but bonspeed makes a nice 5star rim for ours..

The wheels pictured in the OP.....$1600 / set shipped to your door = $400 each.

I believe the Fikses are more.

He does include shipping but his prices are way high. YO has then at 899 for 4 with caps and lugs. Plus shipping. So my guess is $1000

If you can get me fikses for $1600 a set I'll take them

A few companies have them listed for pre-sale on the websites, $299 each plus shipping. Kind of a rip, when I bought them ~6 years ago I paid $200 each shipped, but I guess it is nice to have them offered again. Plus one of mine is all scratched up from when I blew out a tire, I wish i had bought 5 at the time instead of just 4 :|

Supposedly shipping date was yesterday

Hawks Ronal R15 replica (http://www.hawksthirdgenparts.com/products/82%252d92-Camaro%7B47%7DFirebird-FIREHAWK-R15-5%252dSpoke-Aluminum-Wheel-w%7B47%7D-Polished-Accents%2C-REPLICA.html)

More than what? Can you buy a new one otherwise?

V
10-02-2012, 11:39 PM
well fake is a harsh term... its says its a replica, replicas can be fine...

The point is... people like the ronals for the styling right?
ok, so they matched the style with a new brand/model of wheel.
there are replica cobra kit cars, yet i don't hear them referred to much as fakes.

When Ronal made another production run a few years ago they were 200.00 a wheel. the replica is 299.99 per wheel

Prices shouldnt go up $125 in 6 years for cast wheels IMO.

If they found the need to reproduce these wheels due to demand you bet they will charge a premium.....unfortunately.
