View Full Version : Bald Eagles at Prospertown Lake

I haven't been on in a while but I thought I would share a few neat pictures the wife and I took today.
I am doing some remediation work at a lake and found a pair of Bald Eagles that must be living there. All week I tried getting pics but had no luck for one reason or another.
This morning the wife and I went early and walked the entire lake looking for them but the eagles had already taken off. Just as we're about to leave I see one soar off around some tree tops. We stalked it for about 30 minutes and were rewarded with some cool pictures.
I thought some of you would also enjoy them.
I never realized how large and beautiful they are until you see one up close.

Great pictures. I fished at a lake not far from there a bunch this summer, and they were there constantly. Really a great sight to see.

Do you know what the deal is with prospertown, are they going to fill it again?

Actually Sandy filled it nicely, lol. I'm working there doing the remediation and new Sluice gate so it can be filled again. We were hoping to have it filled by the end of November but it may be December now.
I was just working at Pequest Trout hatchery before this and they also have a pair of Eagles there.

I saw a few trucks there recently working, so I wad wondering what was going on. I live only a few minutes from there. Are they planning to restock it well with a good abundance of fish like before ?

Oh yes the guys at Fish & Game are eager to get it restocked.
