If you have an interest in horror films, the macabre, & dark thrillers, then come support true independent cinema at the NYC Horror Film Festival. It runs tonight through Sunday, with all varieties of the dark arts on the screen.
Independent shorts and feature length films from around the world have submitted their films for acceptance, and now the best has chosen for your viewing pleasure.
I work with the NYCHFF as a Film Judge and also as host of the event...we are honoring two huge names in horror this year...ROB ZOMBIE and WES CRAVEN will be in attendence, to personally accept awards for their contributions to the horror genre. There will be a Q&A with both guests as well. Rob Zombie has chosen to screen "The Devils Rejects", and Wes Craven has chosen "Scream". (These films are being shown out of competition from the indepenendent shorts and features which are being judged).
In the past we have honored such genre veterans as George Romero, Robert Englund, Tobe Hooper, Tom Savini and more who came to participate in the festival first hand. Tony Todd, Vincent D'Onofrio, Amanda Plummer and many other actors have come to enjoy our festival as well.
