So the process of trying to get a house is moving terribly slow and I need to find a new apartment. I have been on bestrentnj, apartmentratings, and rent.com and they are all awful when it comes to providing a decent list of places. I wish I could bypass all the renting bs but I am commuting over an hour every day to work with my lease currently up where I live now and I don't know when everything for the house I am trying to get will go through

They don't have those listings books at the super markets anymore?

I don't think so, havent seen one, but also havent searched. I'll have to look into it. Craigslist is filled with spam and ad's and house rentals where people want you to pay their 2700 dollar a month mortgages for them. Or they are in the ghettoest areas. North jersey apartment listings are like 90 percent newark.

Ah, I hear ya. Have you tried the paper? Probably the same results.

The stuff at the supermarkets is mainly garbage, but they're free & worth the 5 minutes of your time to sift through.
Apartments.com is another one to try if you haven't already.
What area are you looking to be in?

Have you tried realtor.com? I know they have a rental section but I've never used it.

Somewhere between clark and fair lawn, moderately close to the parkway, obviously not in a **** neigjborhood though which rules out half my options. Ill check out what you guys suggested

Depends on your budget, I suppose. I know there are plenty of apartment complex's around Fair Lawn, Hawthorn, and Paramus. That area is minutes from the parkway, turnpike and 80.

My budget is under $1500, so I hope I should be ok. Fair lawn is the furthest north I want to be. Is Belleville a decent area? Saw a place with a garage. I know thats next to north arlington and nutley, both which seemed nice a few years ago
