Title says it all,
I sold my little 3.4l a few years back loved driving that car. I bought a Tahoe and its been a great but I miss driving something fun. Yes, I do have my firebird thats slow and steadily coming together but thats going to be the a rough around the edges kind of ride for a while. My new job keeps me on the road 4 days a week so I dont drive all that much anymore and have a boost in income that will help me afford the camaro I want rather than mod a v6 little by little and still ended up dissapointed.
Anyone think its odd to have two sports cars?
This is what i have in mind but of course for a fair price. I wouldnt plan to mod or mess with, just enjoy when im actually home. great cars that actualy get good MPG's and still look amazing. Hold their value pretty well to if kept in good condition.
clean, low miles, high options

In my opinion it's not worth it. Keep looking.

Too much money.
Finish the firebird. All that money - payments, insurance, etc., will funnel away from the bird.

Well that's just an example of what i want. Clean low miles but for a far better price. If I can find on in the 10-13k range I would sell my Tahoe and just buy the camaro outright. No payments. 95% of the time it's just me and my girl driving so I don't really need a Tahoe. I'm wondering why I have it really.

Yeah that was for my previous job. Now I do some healthcare consulting and I'm away from home atleast 4 days a week. I also get dirt cheap if not free rental cars through work so if I need an SUV or just want to go to the poconos I can rent one.
My Tahoe is about to hit 130k and in great condition so I don't want to part with it but three cars is too many to store at my house. And I wouldn't have to dip into saving to pay for a camaro.
I do like the lt1 front ends more than the ls1's but they have grown on me

I keep 4 cars for me, plus my gfs car. I own 3 4th gen f bodies. 2 like new, one mint cond daily driver. Nothing wrong with having a collection. Some people collect crap, I collect cars.

$16K is too high for a 4th gen. And if you are going to make it your daily driver, the value will drop rapidly if you start too high. You should be able to find a clean 4th gen with decent miles for under $10K. I sold my 2000 SS 2-1/2 to 3 years ago with 57K miles for around $9K so prices have not really gone up since then.
