these things bother me so much now. When my son Matty was in 5th, my younger son was in 1st, from coaching baseball I probably knew 100 kids and their families just in their school. when these things happen I instantly think oh my, what if that was here. maybe I'm getting soft in my old age but this really makes me sad.

This is an absolute travesty. I wouldnt even want to imagine if this happened at my sons school. I would never be the same person again. My heart and prayers go out to everyone involved.

Bonzo: Its not the age. Im only 26 and feel the exact same way. I know alot of families in my sons neighborhood being part of autism awareness, and it kills me to think what those families are going through now.

My mother is up in the next town over & locked in a bank. All banks & schools in that area are on lockdown.

This is absolutely unbelievable. Those poor children, families, and staff that lost their lives trying to help.

Parents or anyone close to him should be held accountable for this as well. This couldn't have been something that just matriculated overnight..there had to be signs. Was he mentality ill? off his meds? suicidal? there had to be signs in which no one forcused in on or cared enough to alert the proper authorities. You would think the safest places for your kids are at school or at home but now a days your kids are in the same amount of danger with crackpots w/a suicidal deathwish, random gunfire in neighborhoods or drivebys in front of ones house...shame.

This is freaking crazy. I heard Piere Robert on WMMR here in Philly break out in tears on the radio talking about this. When I was in HS back in the mid-late 90's it was the Bomb threats that were called in, now the kids have to worry about getting shot!! My daughter is in 1st grade.. So sad..

The events of today got to me worse than any of the tragedies I can recall in the past. I think it is the time of the year and the tender age of so many of the victims. We were working behind a grade school and almost half the kids had santa hats on running and playing at recess, was such a happy sight on a beautiful afternoon. Short time later heard the news on the radio, and just broke down in tears. Prayers sent for those who lost loved ones today. Im numb right now....

reading what everyone is posting about their children makes me even more depressed about the situation, especially with the holidays around the corner. school is supposed to be a sanctuary and a safe haven for all children, and after today it will never be the same.

adam a mentally disabled person first killed his dad. then went to the school killed his mother and all the innocent people.
i just wonder what went though his mind to think that killing innocent kids was okay?
im a strong believer in single murder having a reason sometimes. i feel that sometimes someone can aggrevate you so much that you cant control yourself. but i ask again what went through his mind to kill those innocent kids.

thanks guys, and my brother is the school phsycologist at the high school but was there to meet with the SHES one to go over paper work


saw fbi, atf, and various tactical teams there also.
most of the tactical teams was the state SWAT and Nat. Gaurd, FBI and ATF were there as early reports said he drove from NJ and killed people in NJ before heading up. aslo the report of the NYPD being there, it was a officer whos nephew was in that school, he got premission from his cheif to leave asap with the patrol car
