I purchased -8 stainless fuel line and I'm insure of what fitting are correct to purchase. Any suggestions or preferences would be great, pictures as well. I know what pieces I need, such as :90* and straight fittings. Do I need to use a special sealant tape?
Thanks

What brand hose? Rubber or teflon lined?
I like jegs house brand hose and fittings.
The flare threads do not get any sealer or tape, only the tapered npt threads get sealer or tape. I don't like teflon tape.

NPT threads get sealer. Don't tape them.
I have used Jeg's, Summit, and Aeroquip. There is definetly a difference between a house and name brand fitting but in most cases it's not worth the extra $. I'd buy Jeg's stuff and go with that.
Also, AN wrenches/vise jaws can really help too.

The lines are just rubber, I will have to look at the name, I purchased a length of it from an eBay store. The fittings just push in the hose? Or is there a clamping type?

After I tape the line, I get my cutoff wheel wide open hauling ass style, line it up in the middle of the tape, and fully commit to cutting straight through at full speed. You are trying to prevent any strands of line from going array. It will make your life miserable. If they are a little pushed out, I just cut them back with the wheel carefully. Once you get the hang of it, its simple.

I find the best/fastest way to cut lines is with a cold chisel and a 4lb hammer. Clean cuts, no frays, no need for tape and it keeps the braid tight so when you put the fitting on all the braid goes into it.
But going back to what fittings you need, it is dependent on what type of hose you bought and the manufacturer of the hose. You can mix/match hose/fittings between manufacturers, but you have to make sure everything works for the sizes/specification of the hose. Generally the manufacturers dont recommend mixing/matching

Never heard of the chisel way, I like the sound of it.
