So far we have the 49ers in the super bowl this year which is actually interesting since growing up you always saw the 49ers in the super bowl...actually brought back some nostalgia plus i have a soft spot for bay area teams since i used to live out that way!

Hopefully we can get some more hometown loving here and see Joe Flacco (cherry hill) and ray rice (ny and rutgers college) get in on some super bowl action.

9ers game was actually really good and so far the playoffs have been great games! whats your guys thoughts....except for justin...we all know what he's gonna say :D

Woooohoooooo!

So glad to see the Niners back in the big game.

Now just waiting to see who they are facing off against - can't decide who I want to see. On one hand I love watching Brady and the Pats lose the big one, but the prospect of seeing a real Har-bowl is also very tempting.

Honestly, these high scoring playoff games just don't interest me so far. But I'm not rooting for NE so I guess that gives me something to watch! What happened to defense in the NFL?

The great and powerful Tom Brady picked off in the end zone with the game on the line...I LOVE IT!

Har-bowl hear we come!

IMO who cares...none of those players...zero...on both teams participating in the super bowl know who you or me are, and sure as hell wont help any of us if we needed help in any way. why sit back and watch as they make millions while 1 out of every 10 americans are unemployed / struggling to make a living while they are playing a sport all of us could play on the weekends in our time off.

Thats why we're all NFL caliber athletes right? GM doesnt care about you, yet you sit around here and talk about their new cars while they directly impacted the economy with bailouts taking money straight of your pockets. if you wanna cry to someone about the economy do it somewhere else...

haha at Har-bowl though, ive been calling it the Super Baugh :D. its nice to see a super bowl where both teams are actually filled with a few characters i wouldnt mind seeing grab a ring this year. as for brady, yeah he's pretty much exposed for good. They just cant win without cheating (spygate) or when theyre down by more than a field goal...they just dont have it in them to push through it. I demand asterisks next to their 3 wins!!!

that's my point who cares about pro caliber athletes making millions of dollars playing a game while the rest of the country is suffering. and also find one time I personally talked about gm bail outs on any of these threads.

so you could honestly sit there and tell me nasty that a pro athlete is worth those millions they make over whatever work you do? I don't even know what work you do and as long as you have a job and are working I can say they don't.

whatever money they make is really none of my business honestly. i dont get caught up in that politics. i enjoy the game for what it is....and as you said...in these times of economic hardships its nice to be able to sit on a couch and not worry about anything for 6 hours. baseball got our country through one depression, no reason why football cant do the same for me now in a recession :D

Stop being that guy.

This Ravens team has me scratching my head. As of this morning, I'm on the fence about who I'll put my money on! I guess we'll see when Vegas updates the spread later this week.

Definitely digging the "Brother vs Brother" thing though--Bet the parents are loving and hating it at the same time! I hope Ray Lewis gets his ring this year. Kaepernick's had a good enough year, and a NFC title isn't a bad consolation prize for someone who's just starting their professional career.

OK, so **** the team with the cheating scandal and cheer for the murderer instead? Got it.

I don't like the Patriots but I can't stand the Ravens at all. I guess I'll work on my Nova that sunday.
