I have a hairline crack 1/2 in length and it's so small you can't fit a hair through it. I need a shop to weld it. I live in South Jersey, near PA and Delaware. Any suggestions and know the cost?
Also if you have a 17" SS rim you want to sell that would be easier.

Whoever welds it make sure they use a TIG and not a MIG. MIG will be too messy on a wheel and leave lots of cleanup to do after. That being said I'm not setup to do TIG otherwise I'd do it for you.

The only shop that comes to mind is Wheel works, Tim Smith in 1703 route 130, Burlington, NJ 609-387-4486 But sometimes he is hard to get a hold of. Best bet is to drive there with the wheel during business hours. He does not have a website, but has a spot at the etown swap meet where he shows his stuff. I had some steel wheels straightened there. His card says alloy and alum wheel repaired and widened.

I would also recommend Tim at Wheel Works. I work about 1/2 mile down the road and we have taken a few wheels to him. Not sure about his hours but I do know that he is closed on Mondays and I think he opens around 9.

Thanks for the help. He wanted 110 to fix it, so I purchased a used one in good condition for $100 shipped.
