well im about to do something stupid.
but how bad is it if i dont run the power steering pump with a power steering rack? its not a daily mostly just for a cruise out. i dont mind the heavy steering.

i need to put the alternator up there and was thinking of doing this.

there are a lot of threads on tech about people doing this... change/fill the fluid and cap the lines and it seems to work at least short term

keep it ps fluid. or do a thick oil?

i know, i THINK it was fresh ps fluid. but i dont want to be quoted on anything

Most people loop the lines and drive it as is.

lol anyways ill drain it and put new p/s fluid. see how long it lasts.
