My ac clutch was working a few weeks ago and sudden it stopped engaging. If I plug in Hp tuners I can get the clutch to engage, but the air still blows hot. I'm guessing my compressor is shot?

doesn't the system automatically stop letting the compressor engage if the pressure in the system drops below a certain threshold to avoid compressor damage?
I would check to make sure the system hasn't lost pressure before anything

Could also be a bad pressure sensor.

You can jump out the low pressure switch (usually located near the accumulator) to see if the Comp. comes on . If it is blowing cold air it is most likely the switch. Good idea to throw some gauges on and check line pressures to confirm. Good Luck

Step One: Check the system pressures.
