Just wondering if I take my(hopefully) 93 camaro through inspection this year what they test and how it'll pass? I've had a car hooked up to the computer and leave and i've had them inspect the crap outta it for 15 minutes, sniffer test it and then get confused for another 5minutes if they call it a trans am or firebird on the paper work....:kneeslap:
Car will just have a full exhaust with catted Y.

^ That's it. You could have bald tires and no brake lights and it';ll pass

95 and down, yes.

All cars that originally came from the factory manufactured with a catalytic converter(s) are checked for said catalytic converter(s)

I just watched them inspect my car. Just plug it in, then drive it over the cameras. They look for kitty kats

His is a 93, yours is a 96. They are tested differently.

But, they are the same engine and car, why would they test differently?

I forgot to mention... Pre 95 (PRE OBDII) actually get the sniffer in the tail pipe.

Because you touch yourself at night.

I thought 95 was OBDII with an OBDI connector or something weird

Other way around obd1 with obd2 connector, aka the bastard year

I'm thinking I should just get a TSP ORY and weld up a magnaflow cat after the merge? Yes? Being a registered 93 they wont even attempt a computer hook up so..

Inspection is by VIN.

Inspection is by VIN.

Thought so. That means they should give it the visual and sniffer test and be done?

Yes, what they do is enter the vin, they take a clamp that reads electric pulses (rpm) and they clamp it on one of ur spark plug wires, and then put sniffer in it. They run the car at lets say 1500 and then lets say 2500 rpm for the test.
