As most of you now know, Island Dragway is re-opening July 4th weekend. In addition to needing volunteers, Island Dragway is not out of financial troubles and is offering ad space for banners.

As a club, we are going to be collecting donations, and based on the total, we will be put forward the funds in exchange for an NJFBOA banner, serving a dual purpose. Banner size and location will be dependent on the amount of funds raised.

This is not required in any way, and you can donate as much as you feel comfortable with.

You know, even at $20-$25 a person, I don't think we'll have a problem hitting some of these marks. The guys here at NJFBOA have shown a lot of interest in helping Island out & throwing a few bucks into the pot.

I assumed the banner is made by them, did you hear otherwise? I didn't look into if this situation was different than most.

I can post individual amounts if you'd like. I'd rather not tie them to usernames so people don't feel ashamed, since every little bit helps.

Update:

We will need extra help the rest of this week and this weekend finishing up our bleachers! We are just over 1/2 way through painting the boards and will need as many strong men (and women) as we can get to put the boards back in place. Its going up for a year? I think If grazi has a material hookup, I know of a vinyl company that would be priced pretty fair so long as the sign isn't an extensive design.

Yeah, there was no extra money. On top of sponsor spot, there was roughly $400+ that had to be spent to have it created. The club and a few particular members stepped up in a big way to make sure this didn't fall through.
