I haven't posted in some time nor have I been out to meets in the longest. I plan to work on that part. I have been busy with work, school, and all that life has thrown my way(mostly good).
Just wanted to check in and say hello again.
2 weeks ago my 2011 Camaro SS was caught in a flash flood right down the street from my house. I've never seen anything like it. Anyways one week later insurance sent a white flag and a check to go. I racked up 50000 miles in no time and really enjoyed my stay with it.
This week I located a 2001 rust free Jeep Cherokee with only 69000 miles owned by a little older woman for a very reasonable price. Its quite the transition, but am really enjoying it more than I thought I would.
No more car payments with this switch!
My 99 Formula that's got too much time effort and money behind it has been stored under a cover. I know that's the case with a lot of project cars. Its still for sale and may be parted out if that makes sense at this stage(still exploring my options). I'm ready to move on, but it was my first nice car and will miss it when that time comes. Anyone want to step up? Let me know. Its a lot of car for the money and the drivetrain has only 10k (rebuilt and gone through by JS Performance-->) on it and the chassis only 100k. I could use driveway space and I have a binder full of paperwork on it.
There is also a 72 Monte Carlo in the driveway mix. There are a lot of NOS parts in my loft and aftermarket pieces on a chassis that is well worn. Any takers? I've been cleaning out my 2 car garage and with some vehicle movement look forward to having a car inside of it for the first time since I was a little kid! Hopefully it will be a new car that is not out yet that I've had my eye on.
My 91 GTA is running okay and really owes me nothing. I run it around when between vehicles etc. Its been a luxury to have, but mostly just getting dirty under the tree gaining character and patina.
In the coming weeks I'm planning on starting construction on my house and looking forward to a lot of upgrades to bringing it up to 2013 code.
I have one more semester of school and will have my BS which work has been paying me to attend. I have experienced a lot over the last few years and look forward to the times going forward.
I don't know how many of you guys that remember me are still here. Hope all is well with you guys too and thanks for a moment of your time.
