mountain bike that is. went out and purchased a good mountain bike from my local bike store today. believe it or not my previous job i used to ride around $3k bikes around and for our training we went to allaire state park and loved the thrill of mountain biking. finally i could afford a decent one so i snagged this specialized hard tail with a disc brakes set up. anybody else here bike? if so where are your favorite spots to tear it up at and what kind of bike do you have?

Pics do look good haha. I like allaire and hartshorne has some awesome downhills and pretty tough climbs. Haven't ridden in a while though. I have a cheap full suspension I play with.

I got a Giant 29er hardtail not too long ago that I have only rode once. I am nursing an ankle injury and once it heals, I plan on riding more. I'll join you one day when you do.

I am told Ringwood is great, but when I went in the Spring, the only trail I could find was closed because of damage from sandy. I remember reading a review of the trail where the guy said he spent hours looking for the entrance to the trail. I figured he was an idiot, but it turns out it's very tough to find. I'll likely try again soon.

By the way, mtbnj.com is a great resource.

254 Hartshorne Rd, Middletown, NJ 07748

Its monmouth county up in the highlands area. Real cool park, used to be a defense point for naval attacks.
