just wondering how many people in here with power adder cars run pumpgas ONLY. no helpers like meth or octane boosters. straight pumpgas from the local public gas station. what do you have and how well does it run? N/A guys i would like to hear from you as well.

I do.
Meth tank has never been filled.
Conservative timing, and a good IC.

Correction, 99% of the people on here don't race
Question, how hard does the "Hardest Leaving 12sec car in The World" leave?

Pretty much. I know all my carb/timing specs in the Nova but haven't made it to a track yet.

im not talking about racing. just would like to hear from ppl who are running pumpgas. you must have a guilty conscience third person to accuse me of talking about racing when i haven't even mention a word of it.
if you like to find out how good my 12sec car leaves. make a thread and call me out on it......

I'm confused.. Did NHRA sissy out again and cut the track back to 60'? Cause last time I checked a 10 second time slip still beats a 12 second one regardless of short times.
Oh, and you would have to be more specific on the information you are seeking becuase there are cars that run the pump gas drags well into the 7sec zone as well as some race gas cars that cant get out of the 10's.

I merely stated that 99% of the members here don't race ergo no need for race gas. I honestly don't care how your car leaves. I just figured you would have some factual information with that in your signature but as usual it's just talk!

Still confused, is some sort of advise being sought, or just a head count of people that don't put race gas in their cars?

im wondering about people on here that are running pumpgas. and would like to hear what combo's they are running if they'd like to share. i know for a fact theres no one on here running 7's on pumpgas cause and engine/combo like that cost more then a house. lol

No "butt hurt / hate" at all. Just a little confused, seems like you have a motive of sorts. Maybe waiting for someone to post up what they are running so you can try to tear them apart, then challenge them to a sight unseen race for a large amount of money which you know they will decline. At which point you would probably resort to calling them a "punk" or "all talk" or some other names better suited for a fifth grade playground.. Am I on the right track?

Nitrous is one power adder that has no problem using pump gas to run well. For those boost running folks, race gas and/or meth might give max power - but you can back off the boost for pump gas pretty darn easy.

to be honest, i dnt think Nitro Methane would help get your 383 running the true numbers it should... obviously anything you would have to share in this discussion would only slow people down.. so please keep your posts on this ''PUMPGAS'' topic to you're self...

I have chips for both pump or race. I data log and use a wide band to monitor A/F.
On the race gas/Chip it's slightly richer and I think2+ on timing. I'm about 3MPH faster in the traps.
A/F is 12.2 timing is 26 degrees. 10Lbs of boost.

Care to enlighten us on what the true numbers would be? Is there a specific intent to this thread? All I see is a vague request for information that will produce a number of different answers.

Nitrous does not increase the possibility of detonation like a boosted car (one running a super or turbo).
If you don't know what boosted is, time to read up. Not talking about stealing cars, here...
