Many of you might remember the big get well card we all signed at the January meet last year for Regan. Regan's family is close with a friend of mine down in Tennessee, which is how I became aware of his illness. I felt as though I need to offer this update.

Little Regan passed away last night and is no longer constantly suffering from brain tumors (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anaplastic_astrocytoma).

Regen's earthly suffering ended at 3:40am. He is celebrating Jesus' birthday- with Jesus. What a marvelous gift he has been given. We celebrate his life. He passed very peacefully and quietly in the arms of his loving family. Here is one of the final photos I took of Regen, Walker & Braeden.

I can't imagine my days without him. My heart is broken but Regen is whole, healthy, & happy. He will never have to suffer again and we are so very thankful for that. This is our Christmas miracle. I am happy to do the suffering so he doesn't have to.

Less than 2 years ago this little boy was an active and normal kid, even leading scorer on his middle school basketball team. So no hint of any problem. From vibrant child to constant suffering to gone in a matter of a year. I cannot imagine what this family has gone through, it brings tears to my eyes. Please keep them in your thoughts.

Life is shorter than we all think and totally unpredictable.

Thanks for the bittersweet update. Its a sad story but thankfully his suffering has finally ended. I can't imagine dealing with something like that and it's important folks keep things in perspective.

I can't fathom that family's pain.

It's a good thing you guys did. If there another initiative develops, to show the family some support during their grieving, I'd like to know about it. In the meantime, this certainly has put an end to my Post-Christmas morning whining. Prayers sent.

I'm sad to hear about his passing, but glad his suffering is over.

Puts a lot of things into perspective. I'm going to go hold my daughter for a little while now.

Wow. Life is too short, and also very confusing at times. But at least there is a new angel in heaven w/o any problems.
