i listed my 02 ss on Craigslist, i had a few inquiries on it. then i had an offer from someone on trading a 05 trailblazer ls and some cash. i was told it was adult owned he ended up being 20, no big deal. truck is in good shape not perfect. i was asking 10,500. for mine so i hit him at 4,000. he says no comes back at 1,000. i settled on 1,500. kelly bb on his comes out around 4,500. mine was 10,000. so basically i got 6,500. he tried telling me my injector tick might be a wrist pin bearing and the engine might blow, so watch out in the berlin area for a white camaro with a blown engine. i am ok with it but i know he got the better deal. now my wife wants to drive it so i have to drive her 10 ss, the ironic thing here is back in 01 i went to order my 02 from the dealer but instead we ended up getting her an 04 trailblazer instead. i know it was a year or so later but somehow she gets what she wants.

You could have just dropped the price here on the forum and see if there was any bites at that amt...might have gotten cash.

2002, SS, T56, White, ~100k on LS1, minor bolt-ons. Is that correct?

Personally, I'd have figured you'd land somewhere in between that 6.5k-10.5k range on a cash deal, but it's not worth getting ruffled up about. I'd just enjoy the new truck and the happy wife. You've got a better built Camaro to drive now anyway.

i probably would have sooner but my next move was ebay which i did not want to because of all the extra fees. but like mike said also it kinda worked out, my wife is happy. i really wanted a little more cash than the kid was offering, the main reason for me selling was my wife had gotten hurt at work and we got behind on a few things. at least we should have things a bit easier now.

As long as your better off it was a good move to do then. Enjoy the new whip:)

even though he got the better end of the deal, you were in his prime target. trading a sports car for a truck in the dead of the coldest weather we've had in decades...he had the leg up in the deal, but considering you still worked 1500 bucks cash out of him....thats not too bad. you definitely couldve done a lot worse.

on a side note, congrats on the new truck and happy wife :D
