I am in the middle of a really disappointing problem with some mail I sent to pay bills out of the shop (UPS, Comcast, & Poland Spring).
So the last 2 days I got my February statements from the 3 vendors above and not one had received my payments for last month. I sent these out on 1/31 and not one of them got in by the 15th. Ended up calling all 3 and Comcast (which is in Philly) just got my payment yesterday - about 3 frickin weeks later. Snow or no snow, that is rediculous. even worse is that UPS charges a late fee that cannot be waived if the payment is not in on time.
Am I the crazy one here?

No, they def suck, I had mail held due to "icy conditions" .. meanwhile the driveway and walk to box were shoveled and salted.
Govt. run companies never do well.

I like paper mail for some weird reason but I do like the simplicity of online bill pay. I've had the mail one too many times for me to trust it, especially when it comes to bills. I usually pay my bills a day or so before they are do. No need for folks to have my $$ well before the deadline.

People still use snail mail to pay bills?
It's the 21st century, they're cloning sheep now

When I see it come out of my bank account it is "paid" and I am not longer liable if it is not received by the company, especially since I keep the electronic receipts
Yeah, I know. That was sort of a quote about the sheep, from Seinfeld

That might just bury them deeper. I have seen the USPS deliver on sunday in my complex. They deliver, but you are talking OT pay for the people and how many deliveries do they have right now?

They are using there part time carriers to delivery on sundays so no ot is paid. Im not sure what the delivery option is but it must be a upgraded shipping option because they only call in carriers to delivery if there are parcels to delivery on Sunday. All I know is the amount of money amazon is paying the postal service has brought them out of the red.
