I decided to buy a new printed circuit for my gauge cluster since it is corroded and causing some issues. $75 from Classic, haven't seen it available anywhere else. I go to checkout and they want $19 for ground shipping!? I emailed their customer support asking why something weighing less than a pound and of small size would cost that much and their response was that on small packaged items their freight goes by dollar amount of the item and not weight. What a load of **** :soapbox:

I don't even want to order it just on principle but I'm stuck :banghead:

Make sure they actually HAVE it, too. Some places will take your money and back order the part until they get enough orders to do a run.

I forget if it was Classic, Year One, NPD, or someplace else that used to take your money and then you'd get your parts months later. Like 9+ months.

If it's a rare and low volume part I understand, just say that from the get go.

I just hear about it everywhere. The site lists it being in stock then it becomes a backorder and the old "You should have it by XX/XX" and then that changes etc etc. Seriously just say it up front you don't have it. But no, they want your money and they want it now.

Sounds like that $75 item is actually $85 when you factor in the shipping costs. Hate when companies do that to increase revenues!

I hate that as well. I tend to stay away from companies like that especially when they say parts come from different warehouses and get you for shipping on each item. I try to only buy from ones that either offer free shipping or a reasonable flat rate.

Good point Bill, I didn't even think of that, I'll give them a call before I order.

Ted,

If you haven't ordered yet, use code MDN14 for 20% off.
