Hello all just wanted to get your input on my car I may sell down the line as it just does not get used/lost interest in.

What's the market on late model 3rd gens?

I searched nationwide for 91-92 Trans Ams recently on ebay and autotrader with no results. Thirdgen.org had a few examples all unsimilar to mine.

The car itself only has 120k on it, is rust free underneath and the engine runs good. The exterior has seen better days but it's never been in an accident. It's also just the 5.0 TPI auto t-top combo. The interior also would need a full overhaul. In the right hands this could be a really good restoration candidate.

What's the pulse on this type of car on here?

What do u think I have on my hands value wise?

Thanks in advance for the input.

Jim,

We are going to see pics if you've got them.

I'd bet there's somebody on here or lurking who would buy it.

Judging by you saying the exterior is rough I'm gonna guess the paint is very faded at best. Add that to the interior needing a overhaul and its 5.0 car I would say your looking at 1500 or 2000 max. Again I am just going off the description you posted. I have seen some 91-92 z28's with great interiors and simaliar mileage sell for around what I said with the same engine trans and roof combo

I took a few quick pictures

I know it's not worth all that much but it's ashamed it's just sitting there

that actually better than I thought it was going to be. I would list it high at 3000 and see what kind of offers you get and lower your price accordingly. but that car should go between 1700 and 2000

Damn Jim thats a really nice GTA...the fact that its a 91-92 that clean, has ttops and what looks like to be an original non cracked Aero wing....id say you can get at least 2 grand for it. List this bad boy on LS1 related sites...this is a perfect candidate for a swap honestly. If you held out you can probably get 3 for it from the right buyer, especially if the ground effects arent cracked at all :D

Thanks for the input I got the car back in 2008 as a barter with a friend and put about 30k on it in between my other cars. There has been a good amount of maintenance on it to get it road worthy back then and I have a bunch of extra parts for it. My dad and I share it but he hasn't been able to drive with his disability in over 8 months and am contemplating moving on if that's going to be the case going forward especially when it's the right time for me to replace the 5th gen I had totaled over the summer with something new.

Car looks like it should go for $3500 or so in the right market. Headlight motors bad or gear striped?
