Enjoy that!

What sort of work are you signed up, or is it a general position?

I'll be a test engineer for the company's new 8-9 speed transmissions. Going to be doing a lot of data analysis with matlab and working alongside technicians. Also means I'll probably get to be around a lot of pre-production stuff. I wanted to be in powertrain and got the next best thing, basically landed my dream job straight outta college.

Way to go, Vin! That's awesome.

...Long ways from late-night Grease Truck pow-wows & ParkTran! I imagine graduation is next week or so? Do you already have a place picked out in the midwest, or will you be doing an apartment hunt/move during that 2-3 week stretch? Huge step, amigo. Congrats.

Congrats dude. I wish I had been able to pick a major with prospects like that and the extra curricular to match.

Yea, buy a house, then do project

Please listen to this. The market is totally in your favor there and it would be stupid to rent/waste money.

Ehh, grease trucks aren't the same now that the lot is gone. And yea, hopefully graduating in 2 weeks if I get through these last 4 finals lol. And I have to start the apartment shopping asap once my finals are done. I plan on living in the Ann Arbor area because it's by University of Michigan and only 20 minutes from the Chrysler proving grounds.

Cost of living in Michigan is a lot lower than NJ. I plan on renting for the first year I'm out there while saving. I do plan on getting a cheap toy (LS1 f-bodies are so cheap these days) to mess around with until I buy a house and can start on a real project. Also, nearest dragstrip is 20 miles from Ann Arbor(where I plan to live) so it will be cool to try and get back into it while making some friends out there.
