Marketed to kids and not GoPro quality but appears to take decent video. For ~$60 shipped it seems like a great deal.
I bought one and will post up how it turns out.

My friend had one similar, not sure what brand... but that **** flew sky high... and it had GPS so it could go back "home" if it was lost

Yeah, I know it's a $50 gamble but it's $160-180 elsewhere so who knows.
At the very least I might have just bought a diagnostic camera to strap under the car.

I hate making decisions like this. I want a gopro but I can't imagine spending that much money on a camera lol. ffffffffffff
EDIT: I bought it. I really really want a gopro so I dont have to borrow my buddies all the time. I will review as well! Its on amazon for $180!

GoPro is a great camera. If you move along to data logging and video overlay almost all of the systems now support GoPro as well. I'm a believer in buying things once so I shop for what I can keep and enjoy for the longest even if it means spending a bit extra.
I have been very happy with my GoPro's and with more and more of the data logging and video systems supporting them I can't see any reason not to stick with them.

I agree. If this doesn't work out, I will get a GoPro. I was just not impressed with my buddies GoPro Black's battery life. It barely lasted 2 hours with no wifi. Not a total of 2 hours recording time either, 100% charge. :(
I love the GoPro app as well being able to watch the camera, and change the settings, etc. etc. etc.
I'm just broke :violin:

Battery life has suffered as the video quality has gone up and they have attempted to make it even more compact. There is an extended life battery and the next generation is supposed to have a power input to deal with the extended filming of racing and data logging. If they can come up with a weather tight power set up I don't think anyone will be able to beat them.
