Ridgewood car show this Friday night

Is anyone going to the car show this Friday night in Ridgewood? I entered my 91 Z28. I went to the show last year as a spectator and it was a good show.

The town closes down the main ave. and the cars park on the street. It is always a good turn out. The exit off of Rt17 is the Oradell Ave/Ridgewood Ave exit. You would want to follow the signs for Ridgewood.

For those that aren't in the show, we should pick a spot to meet up. Not sure which roads will be blocked or where spectator parking is ... Maybe someone who has gone can shed some light ?

Location: Memorial Park at Van Neste Square, Ridgewood NJ
Event Description

Ridgewood Chamber of Commerce presents"
Annual Fall Car Show!!

FREE to the public.

For Cars:
Pre-Registration fee by August 15th is $17.00
August 18th-September 5th Registration fee is $20.00

The Car Show will be held around Memorial Park at Van Neste Square
and along E. Ridgewood Avenue.
Non Pre-Registered cars will begin registration at 5:00pm. Parking will be on a first come, first served basis. Registration fees are not refundable.

Music will keep the evening lively and there will be trophies for many categories.

1. The Ridgewood Police Department wishes to remind all participants there is no consumption of alcohol allowed at this event. Summons will be issued to violators.
2. Due to pedestrain safety, cars will not be allowed to leave the event until the
Police Depart. opens up the road.

Parking is going to be real tough in Ridgewood regardless, better plan to meet early.

Yeah I'm parking away and taking a stroll. Fortunately, downtown Ridgewood is a nice place to walk around. Girlfriend should be pleased. Paul, you gonna bring Diane?

Yeah parking won't be much fun, metered spots are free after 6pm (I think the same goes for the train station lot...)

I won't be going. the 5 pm registration for non-pre-registered cars won't work for me. earliest i could realistically get there would be at least 6:15, prob too late to be worth it. Plus the wife probably wouldn't be thrilled walking around for three hours in the summer heat.

I may have to back out as well, by the time I get home and get a starter in the car it would be like 7:00 ... but I guess ill see how it goes

^why not? lol, but my car is most definitely not a show car... however, that doesn't make her any less pretty to me

Saw a couple of members there, and plenty of nice rides! This was a good show. Surprisingly it was my first time attending it, but won't be the last. Looking forward to the next one!

Could be. If memory serves me right, it had some red interior accents like the shifter knob. I just don't remember ever seeing a double-din in Mike's TA, or if he even still owns it. Only one way to know for sure...



Also saw maroman sr's car! The awesome black 1st gen Firebird I see at every show :lol: and 91chevyz28's blue third gen there too. Lots of f-bodies, I can't put any other names to faces/cars right now though

My buddy was there passing out fliers so i tagged along, I had no idea this was an annual event. I'll definitely be registering for it next year. 91chevyZ28, clean car man. I saw it parked when I was there.

Thanks! That morning I went to Mufflex to change my exhaust. I came across a SLP TOTL muffler with tips for free. I also needed a new intermediate pipe since it had a hole in it before the rear.

Anyone else notice the mustangs cold-start revving their cars to the moon? Don't get me wrong, sounded great, but that was just dumb.

yep that was me with the red TA, parked next to my dads 67.

that was the biggest ive ever seen that show and ive been going for many years. I was not preregistered and got there at about 6 and they were lining us up down the center of ridgewood ave.
