Sounds like POWER!!!!

So when is the trip to the track or dyno to see how much it helped?

I wish I had a stock dyno number, but I never got a chance to do it!

Would have been able to go Saturday but we got rained out. Probably next meet at island!

Sounds pretty good. I like those headlights as well. :)

so...

apparently the Y-pipe is the cause of the rasp?!?!?!

Side note.

It is without a doubt NOT the same as a pace setter Y. Not even close.

Very true, I can see the difference in the merge of the 2 pipes.

Regardless, people are saying the Magnaflow Y transition fixes the rasp I have.

Throw the cat on first and see where that leaves you.

Aye. I am going to have it put on with flanges so I can remove it if needed. or should I just weld it in ya think?

I think you can't have clamps or flanges and pass.

There is a way

Buy another off road y and swap the entire half

Hey, PolarBear probably still has the one I gave him.

True. If he doesn't have it, I can just make the magnaflow Y people are raving about, and use the LPP as the catted Y version :P lol

Sounds awesome!

I had a custom y made since my headers didn't come with one. I used a Magnaflow merge with two of their bullet cats and don't have much of any rasp, except a little bit at high rpm but it sounds good like that lol

I didn't get a baseline either, but def a SOTP gain 8)

Why can't the cat bolt in and out?

Stock LT1s had it bolt up at least one side and I know my truck had the cat bolt up on both sides. I think.

Either way, def cut out the horrid cheap merge and weld in a nice one if you can swing it.

I got failed for it at Flemington, which is where I assume he is going to go. Makes it too easy to "tamper" according to them.

This was because it was not the stock exhaust.

If the cat I put in doesn't cut it, I will replace the merge with a magnaflow Y merge as mentioned before :)

That is where I'll be going. I'll be sweating bullets next june when I try to go through lol

Not to go far off topic, but you have a OBD2 car, find a friendly shop who will just plug in and run the test minus a hard look under the car. Can't be that hard.

I would say go to bakers basin, but since my last inspection they switched over to the chassis camera vs the mirorrs

I thought they cracked down hard on that in NJ and places don't do that anymore? From what I remember lol
