Who's going? Anyone planning to set up some tables? Shopping for anything specific?

I plan to be there wandering around. Not looking for anything specific.

Always worth a shot. The fall Carlisle swap meet is the following weekend. Maybe check on the Corvair forums to see if any vendors are planning to attend one or both.

Carlisle or Hershey is a better bet. they don't re-pop that?

I'll probably go Saturday. Keep an eye out for my car in the show if its nice out. I guess I should formally introduce the car to the club at some point

If it's nice out I'll go on Friday. Although I'll not really looking for much it's a mental bring day from work. Cruise around on the mt bike and listen to some tunes.

Have you tried www.DVAP.com ? They have the biggest network of classic car salvage yards in the US. Maybe they can get something for ya.

lol damn this thread got derailed quick. iv thought about dvap and also places like the corvair ranch. but when you figure in the part, their labor cutting it out and then shipping. it would be cheaper to get a better shell. it sucks that i might have to strip and junk this thing over the fact its floor is so shot when i know it could be saved.

X1000. It used to be so much better. Ebay and the internet killed it. I remember going back in the early '90's and if you needed a part.....it was there. Now its more of a flea market than car parts meet. Its a shame

Did ya ever notice it is boring people that are generally grumpy that frown upon such things while those of us that take advantage of every opportunity to enjoy ourselves are walking around with smiles?

I'm considering going to the spring swap meet with my horde of parts. Not enough time to get stuff together for this one.

The past few years I haven't bothered but if no one else really has parts there, if I go with good stuff, maybe I'll do ok and sell of some of what I have.

Went yesterday. Didn't buy anything but had a good time hanging out with Ted and Dave. I didn't see hardly any fbody stuff other than I at the spot I was chilling at. A lot more girls than usual though

prob cause it resembles a flea market and not a swap meet

i went sunday for a few hours, there was a lot of stuff still but a lot of empty spaces. that kinda made it easier to walk around that and there weren't as many jerks on bikes or mini bikes. i did not find any used parts i needed, i did find parts that i was looking for years ago which is usually how it works for me.
i have been going there since the early eighties with a hiatus in the early 2000's due to marriage and kids, yes the swap meet ha changed a lot over the years it has gone from just being in the fall to also a show in the spring. it has grown from mostly the one side to both side's being filled. yes a lot of flea vendors go there now and you may not find that exact part, but if you go with friends and get to hang out for an afternoon it is worth it. just my op.
