As my other post shows I took my z28 to get tuned. Was just wondering if anyone else was tuned on a mustang dyno with the same mods or something close to what I have. If you care to share the numbers you put down to compare. I put down 389hp 386 torque. Dyno #s really don't mean a lot to me just curious.

Take it to the track and see what it runs, thats the best way to see how well your setup is working. I ran 11.6 with less mods than you last year(you have a better intake and heads than me).

Track is best to see where you stand, Trap speed doesn't lie.
On a mustang dyno, parasitics info entered for the car can skew numbers lower or higher (weight etc.). You can have two mustang dynos that spit out completely different numbers.
I believe you mentioned you have heads in your other thread? No reason the car shouldn't do high 11xmph if not 120mph+ at the track.

If it makes that power and depending on the weight it should have no problem going mid to high 11's.

Shooting for low 11s once I get the trans issues ironed out. The SS we have has stock 241s with ls6 intake small cam and that goes 11.5 any day of the week, 11.35 was its best at Atco on a cold December day. Stock 10 bolt. Dynoed @ 323hp if I remember correctly. Full weight. But every car is diffrent so I guess we will see.

It's actually doing the same thing now that my SS was doing a few years back. Doesn't make the 1-2 shift at WOT. After many adjustments to the tune and checking line pressures, turned out the clutches were just worn and it needed a rebuild. I bought this motor/trans used and not sure of is previous abuse. So I figure start with a fresh rebuild and higher converter then go from there.

So it's doing what I was saying it was doing in 2011?

Yes, exactly the same thing. We sent that trans out and got it rebuilt and it's been perfect ever since then. That's why I'm going to send this one out and have it built the same way. This car (Z28) makes a little more power then the SS but if we do the same rebuild kit I think it will hold up just as good.

Glad it's working out for you. Ditch that 4L60 and step up to something a bit more stout....
