Who has ideas of fun/interesting day trip?
With my lousy (sunday only) and her (pitman/every other weekend/day to night shift) day trips are the only things that can really happen.
We were thinking of the yuengling brewery? Of course places like six flags/Dorney park are always an idea.
Thanks!

I dunno, I'm from North Jersey, and I work in Manhattan, so on my days off (Monday & Tuesday) Ive been trying to escape down the shore (Atlantic City, Belmar, LBI), I leave mid day, and wait until the late evening to return, I don't hit much traffic.
I also go to the shooting range mid Day, theres hardly anyone ever there during the weekday if thats your thing. Plenty of hiking to do too if you're the outdoors type.

I've been to yuengling brewery, nice place! But they do not bottle on weekends (when we were there). We want to go back during the week when it is running.

There's also the flagship brewery in staten island, there beer is pretty tasty. If you like wine, there's a few nice vineyards in the poconos and long island.
Also interested in which range you go to alex. Maybe an njfboa range meet?

what does she do that works the pitman schedule?
2-2-3, 2-2-3, 2-2-3, 4 weeks days, 4 weeks nights gets real annoying after years and years of doing this rotation
you could take a ride up to OCC orange county choppers about 1.25 hours into NY state (i've stopped there once.. got a shop tour, checked out all the tv build bikes, they have a restraunt, bowling alley, sometimes live bands), could always go shooting..off peak hours, could rent a boat or steal Nick's jet-ski, or jump on a party-boat for ocean fishing

I had touched on this in the meet planning section. If there's enough interest we can do it as a group. Maybe in the fall?

I go to Cherry Ridge http://www.anjrpc.org/?cherry_ridge
Its a members only range, but well worth the annual fee. I can only take two guests at a time, I think there are a few board members that are members there as well.
Id be down for a Range meet!
Also theres that range in PA where you can rent firearms and shoot if don't own anything yourself.

the yuengling brewery is an awesome trip. as stated earlier they do not bottle on the weekend and i thought that would have been cool to see. but its a scenic trip down 78 and some back roads.

Yeah, the Heritage Guild is in Easton and is run pretty well. Also, the Weyerbacher brewery is around the corner. But I dunno how comfortable people would be leaving stuff in the car, going across state lines, etc.
RTSP is good too but rentals are super pricey (ammo wise). $25 for a box of 9mm

Yea, definitely not comfortable leaving firearms in the car. If you guys set something up I'm in.

Garden State is not that bad ammo wise, and Range 14 out at Dix is relatively cheap (but they don't rent AFAIK)
