Fun day drag racing at Atco. I put drag racing on the back burner for many years and concentrated on road racing and kart racing but i had a blast and met some new peeps.

M&H 26x11.5 slicks on stock TA 16x8 wheels, Aired them up to 30 psi in hopes of spinning and not busting the stock rear axle. but instead of spinning it Bogged each time. Powershifting. Had to shift to 4th 100 ft before finish line (stock 3.42 gears); 4.10's would have been a god send.
Perfect tune by Rob Kats and RK Tuning. Heartbreaker dyno graph attached.
Previous best was 12.7 @ 115 from last year (due to crap tune) so happy for these times and mph is solid.
Stock 241 heads but 92mm intake and mild cam (.588/.595, 228/232), 1 7/8 speed engineering headers and 3" Y pipe, stock cat-back/muffler (1998 only single tip).
Bilstein rear shocks replaced my busted OEM koni double adjustables.
Car weighed 3275 lbs on their scales without driver and minus front seat and spare/jack.
With a real launch, probably could have gotten 11.7.
With 4.10 gears, maybe 11.5
With ported heads, 10.99 :) Dare to dream

Congrats on the new bests! Sorry we didn't get the chance to chat. Your car looked great & you did great even without skinnies! Glad the 10-bolt survived btw

Is this something we should expect for next year's rental?!

I was always told it's safer to build from the rear forward.

However, I'm not an idiot so I won't give you my personal recommendation.

it makes way more sense to do the 12 bolt. but is about 3x the price!

Nice rowing man... plus 1 for the 12 bolt 1st.
I broke my 10 bolt at the track and it made a mess and was very inconvenient. Also look into upgrading the driveshaft because that will quickly be the next weakest link.
