I know there are quite a few handymen and tradesmen here. With the size of my work, we have quite a few cordless sets and as such buy them fairly regularly. What is your preference and why?
We primarily did DeWalt, but feel the quality and battery life has dropped.

Milwaukee hands down. Everything works well and their half inch impact is the best performing cordless impact I have seen.

I'm the furthest thing from a tradesman. I see myself as more of a Tim Allen type, with less finished projects & more accidents, but for my around-the-house purposes, the M12 & M18 cordless stuff has been awesome.
I only have the plug-in DeWalt stuff, so I can't speak to their cordless line yet. Though, the 20v stuff has crossed my mind once or twice.
I think Paul uses the Ryobi line. He seemed pretty happy with them last I checked, though I'm sure he'll chime in himself too.

Milwaukee makes some solid tools, especially their cordless setup.

Stats are close but dewalt has moar power!
I own it, I like it. I don't have many cordless tools though so can't offer an overall opinion. My buddy has a lot of dewalt stuff but he has mixed in some ryobi as well. Current battery tech is outstanding for any tool. I guess you need to find what is the most durable from a commercial perspective.

Never heard a bad thing about Milwaukee.
However I have all makita cordless tools. From grinder, impact gun to the blower that I dry the car with. Only issue in had is with the 1/2 drill, I cooked it by drilling threw a header with 4" hole saw. They warrantied it tho.

Wow. That is incredibly cool. I love it!!!
Like mike said, i have ryobi at home. Great value for a diy homeowner. However for work, we had dewalt stuff but switched over to the Milwaukee stuff(drill, driver, impact, multitool ) We do have an assortment of ryobi stuff too though. Those being larger drills, 16/18 ga nailers, sawzall etc. The corded stuff we have is makita and festool mainly.

I don't know how long you've owned it now & I guess this wouldn't apply to the cordless stuff as much anyway but, with B&Ds acquisition of Craftsman, a lot of folks are worried about how the warranty process will play out going forward

Missed Mike's sale, but did end up going Milwaukee with another sale. Got (2) sets of cordless, hammer drill, sawzall. Will report back over time with any issues.

Let me know if you want to put that sawzall to work in the very near future. I got a demo project I wouldn't mind trying it out now
