However a stock LT1...
The stock pump is rated to flow 25 gallons per minute at 6000rpm. This means at lower rpm's, it flows much less (especially at idle which is tough on a car in the desert). The Meziere pump flows 35 gallons per minute ALL THE TIME!

The stock OEM belt pumps flow 50-55 GPM.

02 With Ls1 and 99 with Ls6 both have meziere EWP street version. Flows 55gpm.

My '01 also came stock with a ls6 intake like every 01-02 Fbody, however it was not an LS6 still.

A ls-based LS6 had the "ls6" intake manifold, "windowed" "168" block, "243" heads, ls6 cam, specific valve springs, hollow intake valves and sodium filled exhaust valves. It was available in the ZO6 and CTS-V.


Anyways, I had the meziere electric water pump on my '01 SS. Worked great. And that was on a true LS6 crate engine I installed.

Yea the SS has the ls6 intake but 241 heads = Ls1
My Z has Ls6 out of a 02 Z06

I don't see any difference other then decreased ET times. Temp stays the same as my brothers stock WP.

Street version allows you to run all factory accessories
Don't think you can do that with the race version.

All the EWP rate their flows based on no pressure head, so its not a 1:1 comparison to OEM WP.

That being said, its only money, spend it fast
